if you're in Antigua around Easter time, then you are really lucky!! The plaza in front of La Merced becomes a food market, packed with tortillas, tostadas and enchiladas, all of them very very tasty. During the rest of the year, the stalls on the corner of Calle pte and An Norte are cheapest alternative.
